Lumina Strategic Group was built on real, hands-on experience working inside higher education institutions — not from the outside looking in.

We have worked more than 20 years in higher education, including roughly a decade as a consultant to colleges and universities. That's time spent inside the actual departments the work affects — not just advising them from a distance.

And that experience isn't limited to financial aid in isolation. We have worked across Student, Registrar, Finance, and Accounts Receivable — because financial aid data touches all of them, and fixing one in isolation often just moves the problem somewhere else. That range has included stepping into project management and interim leadership roles within financial aid offices when an institution needed more than an outside advisor — someone who could run point on the ground until the right person was in place.

All of that means we understand the pressure, deadlines, and daily challenges financial aid teams face every day. Financial aid offices don't have the luxury of getting it wrong — aid has to go out on time, records have to reconcile, and every error becomes a student's problem before it becomes anyone else's. Our goal is to reduce manual work and prevent errors through smarter systems, not just patch problems after they surface.
